چکیده

Abstract Background Raw materials composed of easily assimilated monosaccharides have been employed as carbon source for production microbial lipids. Nevertheless, agro-industrial wastes rich in galactose-based carbohydrates not introduced feedstocks oleaginous yeasts. Results In this study, Aureobasidium namibiae A12 was found to efficiently accumulate lipid from soy molasses and whey powder containing carbohydrates, with productions 5.30 g/L 5.23 g/L, respectively. Over 80% the fatty acids C 16:0 , 18:0 18:1 18:2 . All kinds single sugar components two byproducts were readily converted into lipids, yields ranging between 0.116 g/g 0.138 g/g. Three α-galactosidases five β-galactosidases strain cloned analyzed. Changes transcriptional levels indicated GalB GalC key α-galactosidases, GalG β-galactosidase. 10 L fermentor, SM WP achieved 6.45 6.13 β-galactosidase responsible lactose hydrolysis; sucrase α-galactosidase both contributed efficient hydrolysis raffinose stachyose a cooperation manner. Conclusions This is new way produce lipids raw carbohydrates. finding revealed significance direct first time facilitated understanding utilization manufacture or other chemicals bioprocess. Use of Agro-Industrial Wastes in Solid-State Fermentation Processes

Large amount of wastes is generated every year from the industrial processing of agricultural raw materials. Most of these wastes are used as animal feed or burned as alternative for elimination. However, such wastes usually have a composition rich in sugars, minerals and proteins, and therefore, they should not be considered “wastes” but raw materials for other industrial processes. The presen...

Lipid production by the oleaginous yeast Yarrowia lipolytica using industrial by-products under different culture conditions

BACKGROUND Microbial lipid production using renewable feedstock shows great promise for the biodiesel industry. RESULTS In this study, the ability of a lipid-engineered Yarrowia lipolytica strain JMY4086 to produce lipids using molasses and crude glycerol under different oxygenation conditions and at different inoculum densities was evaluated in fed-batch cultures. The greatest lipid content,...

Valorization of agro-industrial wastes towards the production of rhamnolipids.

In this work, oil mill wastewater (OMW), a residue generated during olive oil extraction, was evaluated as an inducer of rhamnolipid production. Using a medium containing as sole ingredients corn steep liquor (10%, v/v), sugarcane molasses (10%, w/v) and OMW (25%, v/v), Pseudomonas aeruginosa #112 produced 4.5 and 5.1g of rhamnolipid per liter in flasks and reactor, respectively, with critical ...

Biotechnological Production of Xylitol from Agro-Industrial Wastes

Xylitol is a polyalcohol of five carbon atoms which is widely used in the food and chemical industry. Its interest is due to the sweetening power similar to that of sucrose. However, it has been shown that the use of xylitol as a sweetener is better due to its anticariogenecity, tooth rehardening and remineralization properties. It is suitable as sugar substitute for diabetics, and it limits th...

Characterization of pullulans produced from agro-industrial wastes

Pullulans produced from the Aureobasidium pullulans fermentation of various agro-industrial wastes were characterised in terms of carbohydrate analysis. heterogeneity and molecular weights. Grape skin pulp extract (GSPE), starch waste (SW), olive oil waste effluents (OW) and molasses (M) were used as substrates for the production of pullulan. A glucose based defined medium (D) was used for comp...
